Conference location
The 19th Joint Vacuum Conference will be held at Le Meridien hotel Lav in Podstrana near Split, Croatia.
Plenary lectures and parallel oral sessions will take place at meeting halls Meštrović and Marulić on the floor -2 of the hotels conference centre.
Poster session, exhibitors and coffee breaks as well will be located in a lobby in front of the halls.
Registration desk will be in front of the entrance to the plenary halls and exhibition area.
Office hours
The conference registration desk will open fo resgistration on Sunday at 18:00 and will be opened till 19:30. From Monday to Thursday it will be open 8:30–12:30 and 15:00–18:00 and on Friday 8:30– 11:00.
Social programme
Welcome reception and dinner
Sunday, 29th September, 19:30–22:00 (Hotels restaurant Spalatium with terrace)
Lunches
Lunches are included in the fee and will be served from Monday to Thursday in the hotel restaurant Spalatium. There will be no lunch on Friday.
Conference Excursion and Dalmatian dinner
Wednesday, 02nd October, guided tour of Split old town with focus on Diocletian’s Palace (UNESCO world heritage site). A bus transport for the tour will be organised. The departure will be at 15:00 in the front of the hotel Le Meridien Lav. After the guided tour of Split, transfered by buses to the restaurant, there will be Dalmatian dinner with traditional domestic food, drink and music.
Poster presentations
Poster sessions will be on Monday and Tuesday 17:30–19:30. Posters should be removed the next day till 9:00.
Official language
Official language of the conference is English.
Official Markings
All registered participants will receive official badges (accreditation) that they must wear at all places of the Conference professional and social program.
Internet
Internet services will be available to all participants during the Conference.
